The information on the disbursements is compiled from the Commission's newsletters and announcements.


The information on all the debts transactions for NGEU is taken from the European Commission tables in NextGenerationEU transactions data.


The lists on that site show all transactions of long term bonds using syndication or auction, as well as the short term bills used for cash-flow purposes. For this site, only the long term bonds issued by syndication or auction to finance NGEU are of interest and presented in the graph above.


Attention: 

The amount borrowed by the EU on 18/10/2022 with a 20 years maturity was €6 billion, not €4, but two where for supporting Ukraine and do not fall under NGEU, but under MFA (Macro Financial Assistance) and thus deducted.
